Overachiever

For the goals that change your life, not the chores that fill your dayOverachiever is not another to-do list for errands. It is built for the handful of goals that give a semester or a career its direction, and for the procrastination that quietly derails them. The techniques behind it are established ones: timed Pomodoro work sessions, Gollwitzer's implementation intentions to convert vague goals into if-then plans, and affective labeling and cognitive reframing to defuse the avoidance that stops a session before it starts. Reporting closes the loop so you can see what actually happened and adjust.

What we built

Inside Overachiever

  • Clean, deliberately narrow design that keeps attention on the goals that matter
  • Pomodoro work sessions to break the procrastination cycle
  • Implementation intentions that turn a goal into a concrete if-then plan
  • Affective labeling and cognitive reframing for the avoidance behind procrastination
  • Reporting that shows where the time went and what to change next week
  • Complete privacy: everything stays on the phone, with no data shared with third parties
The research behind it

Four techniques, not four hundred features

Every mechanic in the app exists because there is research behind it. Nothing is there to make the screen look busy.

Pomodoro sessions

Fixed work intervals with deliberate breaks. Starting is the hard part, so the unit of work is small enough to start.

Implementation intentions

Gollwitzer's if-then planning: a goal becomes "when X happens, I will do Y, here, at this time" — the single best-evidenced way to close the gap between intention and action.

Affective labeling

Naming the feeling behind avoidance reduces its grip. Overachiever asks for the label before the excuse becomes a decision.

Cognitive reframing

Restate the task in terms that make it approachable, so a threatening project turns back into a sequence of ordinary steps.

Your goals stay on your phone

Overachiever is built to work without an account. Nothing is shared with third parties, and the reflections you write down about your own procrastination are not part of anyone's business model. The full data-safety declaration is published on the store listing.

For people who know what they should be doing and need a system that survives a bad day.

Study-skills programs

A practical companion for schools and colleges teaching time management and self-regulation.

Privacy-conscious users
